CPF (2020-2023)

Output 1: Sustainable and resilient food systems for improved food and nutrition security, disaster and crisis established and enhanced.

The output 1 promotes sustainable food systems (SFS) development and supports a strengthened and developed value chain through sustainable food supply and decent agricultural livelihoods, jobs, incomes and business and profits along production, aggregation, processing, marketing and distribution, and consumption of agricultural production.

Output 2: Access to information, technology, and inputs for sustainable and inclusive agricultural livelihoods, production, and productivity among smallholder farmers enhanced.

The output 2 supports the agricultural and rural development through enhancing timely and quality information for agriculture planning and decision-making, access to technologies and other inputs that will facilitate the productive, climate-resilient and attractive agricultural value chain development.

Output 3: Policy and institutional environment for accelerated inclusive agricultural sector investment and development improved.

The output 3 addresses the weakness of agricultural governance through strengthening capacities of relevant institutions and the governance and supporting the policy development in agrifood sector including the areas of food security and nutrition, agricultural mechanization, agribusiness development and public and private investment growth.

Output 4: Inclusive natural resource governance systems including Forest and Farm Producer.

The output 4 focuses on the country’s rich natural resource and its sustainability and promote sustainable forestry management, environmental, and climate measures and practices, inclusive and responsible agriculture investment, responsible and secure land tenure and governance, the small-scale fisheries sector development among others.
