The new FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit: Online services for pesticide registrars

On March 31, 2020, a one hour webinar on de the FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit was organised by FAO.
The webinar, chaired by Mr. Gero Vaagt, former FAO, started with a welcome speech and brief introduction to the webinar by Mr. Baogen Gu, Team leader at Pesticide Management, Plant Production and Protection, FAO Headquarters.
Next the FAO Pesticide Registration Toolkit was introduced by Mrs. Beatrice Grenier, followed by a live demonstration of the Toolkit website by Mr. Joost Vlaming. The Toolkit presentations focussed on the new Toolkit website and most recent new features.
Finally, an introduction to the IOMC Toolbox on Chemical Management was given by Mr. Andrea Cararo, UNITAR, Geneva.
The webinar concluded with a Q&A session.

La boite à outils de la FAO pour l'homologation des pesticides

Le webinaire, présidé par Mme Elisabetta Tagliati de la FAO à Rome, a débuté par un discours de bienvenue et une brève introduction au webinaire de la part de M. Rémi Nono Womdim, Directeur adjoint à la Division de la Production et Protection des Plantes au siège de la FAO.  Imelda Dossou Etui de l’UNITAR (Institut des Nations Unies pour la Formation et la Recherche, Genève), a tout d’abord présenté la « Boîte à outils de l’IOMC pour la Prise de Décisions sur la Gestion de Produits Chimiques ».  Puis, M. Mohamed El Hady Sidatt, de l’équipe de la Convention de Rotterdam, à la FAO Tunis, a présenté la «Boîte à outils de la FAO pour l’homologation des pesticides», suivi d’une démonstration en direct du site Web de la boîte à outils par Mme Béatrice Grenier. Le webinaire s'est terminé par une session de questions / réponses.
