Brazil-FAO South-South Cooperation Programme

This video presents the history of the partnership between the FAO and the Brazilian government within the framework of the Brazil-FAO South-South Cooperation Program. This program has built and shared knowledge through mutual learning, joint design and management of innovative projects in Latin American and Caribbean countries, prioritizing the fight against hunger, food insecurity, inequalities, and climate change.

The FAO and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (ABC/MRE) support initiatives that contribute to the transformation of agri-food systems into resilient and sustainable ones in both rural and urban areas. This is achieved through strengthening family farming and healthy school meals; promoting responsible land governance; building urban agri-food systems; and fostering access to technologies and the dissemination of innovations in the agricultural sector.
