Join us for this webinar organized in collaboration with the Global Network of Data Officers and Statisticians, where the FAO Statistics Division will talk about “FAOSTAT Developer Portal: Programmatic Access to FAOSTAT API for Data Analysis and Automation”.

During the webinar, our colleague Mario Triani, Lead Software Developer at FAO’s Statistics Division (ESS), will introduce the new FAOSTAT Developer Portal, which is designed to provide programmatic access to FAOSTAT datasets. 

The session will cover what APIs are and how they can be used, with practical examples in Python and R, and will also showcase how the API can support AI-powered tools, making FAOSTAT data more accessible and easier to integrate into analytical workflows.

Mario TRIANI

Mario is Lead Software Developer at FAO’s Statistics Division (ESS), where he leads the design and development of the statistical data platforms and web services that deliver FAO’s agricultural and food data. His work focuses on building and maintaining the systems and APIs that make that data accessible and easier to integrate into analytical workflows.
