Asian case studies on quality improvement in value chains involving smallholder producers

FAO has published an e-compilation of Asian case studies showing how actors in agrifood value chains have improved the quality of their products, thus adding to the value they create while still involving smallholder producers. Each case shows how local innovations in business models for linking smallholder producers to dynamic markets can reach the double objective of increasing the product’s value-added while including the smallholder producers who constitute the majority of farmers in the region.
