This document provides an improved understanding of current knowledge of the likely biophysical and socioeconomic consequences of climate change for Australia’s native and planted forest regions. It assesses the vulnerability of Australian forests from the perspective of both resource use and environmental services, identifying particularly vulnerable forests and communities in major forest areas. The document also provides information on what is being done in Australia to understand and manage climate-related risk in relation to forests, and it offers guidance on key gaps to assist climate-change adaptation.
