Esta sección del Conjunto de harramientas para la GFS contiene enlaces para acceder a cursos en línea y videos de aprendizaje electrónico disponibles que contribuyen al desarrollo de capacidades, la capacitación y la sensibilización sobre temas relevantes para la gestión forestal sostenible.

Esta sección también está conectada a la Academia de aprendizaje electrónico de la FAO, recientemente inaugurada, que ya ha desarrollado una serie de cursos relacionados con la silvicultura. La Academia ofrece acceso gratuito a contenidos que tratan una diversidad de temas de interés mundial y están disponibles en diferentes formatos, entre ellos cursos de aprendizaje en línea para el aprendizaje individualizado, programas de aprendizaje combinado, cursos en línea abiertos y masivos, seminarios en la Web técnicos, cursos tutelados en línea, aprendizaje móvil, talleres de capacitación presencial, así como programas universitarios de máster y títulos de posgrado.
