From the Observatory of Urban, Peri-urban and Agro-ecology Agriculture (O-AUPA), which is based in the Cordoba Rural Extension Agency of INTA, a technical document was prepared "in defense of the green belt" together with technicians from other institutions -both public and private- with the aim of protecting the food production area surrounding this city. Professionals, producers, academics and researchers interested in and concerned about the territorial dynamics and their impact on periurban agriculture in the metropolitan region of Cordoba came together in this project in view of the insufficient legal protection and active development and support policies for producers in the area of the Cordoba Green Belt.
