Manuel micro-jardins du Sénégal

ONLY IN FRENCH Micro-gardens are small gardens adapted to cities, in particular to neighbourhoods with a high population density and no space around the houses. Micro-gardens have several benefits: they allow low-income families to produce vegetables and various condiments at home to grant healthy diets and they are an efficient tool to combat the growing food and nutrition insecurity in urban centres, while the the technology requested for their creation and improvement is simple and inexpensive. The story of the micro-gardens in Senegal is interesting and exemplary in many ways, and fits in with the FAO's "Developing Greener Cities" programme. Specifically, this manual capitalises on the experience acquired over the years in the field of micro-gardens in Senegal, and it aims to make the technology accessible to as many beneficiaries as possible.
