Case studies - Growing Health
2013
The health, wellbeing and social benefits of gardening, horticulture therapy and food growing are becoming better established and documented. Growing Health is a project by Garden Organic and Sustain to see how community food growing can be routinely used by the health and social care services as a way of promoting health and wellbeing. Growing Health encompasses all forms of community food growing in both urban and rural settings including projects such as therapeutic and social horticulture, and shared gardens. In this webpage, some case studies, that show how food growing is delivering health and wellbeing outcomes in different areas across England, are presented.
