The World Food Day Global Ceremony, under the theme “Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow.”, will take place at FAO headquarters on 16 October at 10:00 CEST. Building on hundreds of World Food Day events and outreach activities held worldwide throughout October, it highlights the role of innovation in transforming agrifood systems. FAO Director-General QU Dongyu will be joined by keynote speakers and the Heads of the UN Rome-based agencies. The ceremony will feature special messages from Pope Leo XIV and the UN Secretary-General, and the presentation of the FAO Achievement Award.
