Webinar on the Operational Guidelines of the World Programme for the Census of Agriculture 2020 (WCA 2020)

The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Center of Tanzania (EASTC) and the FAO organized the above webinar for member countries in the Anglophone African region. The meeting was the fourth in the series of regional workshops planned to present the Operational Guidelines of the WCA 2020 to the FAO member countries in different parts of the world.
Purpose
The webinar focused on the main stages involved in the preparation and implementation of the census of agriculture described in the Operational Guidelines of the WCA 2020. The webinar is part of FAO statistics division capacity development activities to strengthen the knowledge and skills of national staff in member countries in charge of planning and conducting agricultural censuses.
Participants
The participants of the meeting were professional statisticians and census leaders who are likely to play a role in the planning and execution of next agricultural census in their respective countries. A total of 17 countries participated in the meeting, including Botswana, Eritrea, Ethiopia, The Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
