22/09/2016 “Protecting Cultural Heritage – an Imperative for Humanity”: Acting together against the destruction and trafficking of cultural property by terrorist groups and organized crime 1:15-2:30pm Conference Room 2, UN Headquarters In the aim of protecting cultural heritage the Permanent Missions of Italy and Jordan to the United Nations, together with INTERPOL, UNESCO, and UNODC, have embarked in 2015 on a high level partnership project on “Protecting Cultural Heritage – An imperative for Humanity: Acting Together Against the Destruction and Trafficking of Cultural Property by Terrorist Groups and Organized crime”.  
During the course of the Final High-Level meeting the organizers will present the output of the entire project to galvanize the International Community and the United Nations to take action against the growing threats to cultural property and heritage.
