13th Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (2011)
Rome, Italy, 18 - 22 July 2011
The Thirteenth Session of the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture will be held at FAO Headquarters in Rome from 18 - 22 July 2011. The opening meeting will begin at 10.00 hours on Monday 18 July 2011.
The Session will be preceded by a day of regional consultations on 17 July 2011 and by a one-day Special Event on Climate Change and Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture: State of Knowledge, Risks and Opportunities on 16 July 2011.

This session of the Commission will be of importance for animal genetic resources, since it will review progress made in the implementation of the Global Plan of Action for Animal Genetic Resources and its Funding Strategy.
