This report elaborated by ‘’Ecologists in Action’’ discusses how climate change affects food production and makes an assessment of the proposed strategies in the framework of international negotiations on climate change. Different issues responsible for climate change are described: among these we find land use change; industrial animal husbandry as another major source of emissions; nitrogen fertilizers as the largest source of direct emissions from agriculture; and energy consumption by the industrial agri-food system. 

The conclusions of the report certify that industrial agriculture is not the right way to guarantee food for everyone and to take care of the planet. The agroecological model is presented as part of the solution to many of the environmental and social problems posed by the current climate emergency
