The Alliance for Food Sovereignty in Africa (AFSA) elaborates this guide, as an innovative alternative, in response to the need for the right diet in these times of COVID-19 in Africa.  It considers agroecology, with its emphasis on diversity, natural crop systems, traditional ecological knowledge, and a farmer-centered approach, as an effective strategy to counteract COVID-19 and future pandemics, as well as other diseases.
