India was and still is the biggest milk producer in the world. More than 50% of the milk in India has been produced from the unorganised sector. In every Indian village, you can find some houses where they have their own cows or buffaloes and they produce milk, not always for commercial purposes but sometimes for household consumption also. I shot this image in my grandmother's house who has a daily wage labor who come every afternoon for milking the cow.
