Hi everyone! I am FAO's Information Management Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Bangkok, Thailand. I am also one of the facilitators for this online forum. If you have any questions or comments over the next two weeks please don't hesitate to ask me. :D I am very keen on the concepts of knowledge sharing and ICT4D, especially with the application of new web2.0 tools and mobile telephones. The e-Agriculture initiative following WSIS has provided an important and timely new community of expertise. I think is ideally suited to improving and substantiating the impact of ICT in rural development and towards meeting the Millennium Development Goals. Hi Michael, I remember seeing you at the ICT in Agriculture conference in in Japan in August. Following on from some of the work that was discussed in at that conference, I have initiated a study on the use of mobile technologies to assist cereal growers to receive agricultural related information in Western Australia.
