Welcome to the EASYPol forum platform where different policy-relevant fora are hosted. Policy issues are discussed and commented to provide up-to-date information and practices that can be shared and used at an international level.
All EASYPol users are invited to browse forum discussions, summaries and resources, no registration is needed. Each forum will have a presentation text illustrating the issues in question, objectives, and general organisational questions. The moderator will provide summary texts at regular intervals and a conclusion at the Forum closure.
We ask that all forum members register before sending their contribtutions [see User guide]. Your registration information is available only to other registered Forum members.
The EASYPol forum support team is pleased to provide you with assistance, please write to: easypol-forum@fao.org
The intention of the forums is to strengthen the existing policy knowledge by bringing together people with similar interests to share their experience and opinions to enhance the quality, quantity, relevance and scope of policy-related materials in EASYPol.
Information gathered from a closed forum will be summarised and can be viewed from the Forum archives which is available to all users.
The final outcome of a forum will often form the finalisation of policy material that is uploaded on the EASYPol website which is available to all interested users.
The EASYPol forum initiative intends to offer policy makers a space where they can provide and benefit from each other’s contributions and inputs. Policy issues will be discussed and commented to ensure that the content of new policy material and issues will provide up-to-date information/practices that can be shared and used at an international level.
Each forum is moderated by a policy expert with relevant experience. The moderator will coordinate posting presentations, summaries and conclusions for each forum.
Forum members can also receive by email the posting for the presentation, summaries and conclusion [this option can be activated or disactivated by the forum member -see Registration for details].
Summeries will be published in the forum area. Once the forum closes, a conclusion is drawn up and published and can be viewed from the Forum archives.
On going discussions, presentations, summaries and conclusions are available for all EASYPol users to browse. More details on how the forum actually works are included below [under User guide].

Presentations, summaries and conclusions
A forum is presented through an email message to new forum members. The presentation will contain details on duration, content, objectives, forum team and other relevant information. The presentation can be viewed by clicking on "...more" under the forum title.
At regular established intervals, a summary text will also posted by email and published on the forum area. A summary of the forum will allow forum members and users to quickly learn about progress of the on going discussion.
If you should not wish to receive the email summaries, you can deselect this option at the bottom of the registration form [see paragraph on Registration, for assistance].
At the end of the forum, a conclusions page will be posted by email and published in the forum, giving an overview of discussions, objectives achieved and/or new areas to explore through a future forum. See Forum archives.
