The Virtual Learning Centre (VLC) is a platform within the FAO Sub-regional Office for Southern Africa with the objective to improve the capacity of public and private veterinary services to detect and respond to outbreaks of trans-boundary animal diseases (TADs) and to progressively control these diseases in the region. The VLC is working with the European Commission for the Control of Foot-and-Mouth Disease (EuFMD).

The VLC and the EuFMD are organizing numerous v-learning initiatives for countries in Southern Africa that aim to build the capacities needed for improved disease control. 

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the upcoming v-learning course, the Lumpy Skin Disease Training Course (LSD Course). This course aims to build capacity for clinical and laboratory diagnosis of LSD, epidemiological investigation, surveillance and available control options.
