10 August 2021, Rome – The Director of FAO’s South-South and Triangular Cooperation Division, Mr. Ye Anping, today met virtually with the Minister for Agriculture of the Republic of the Gambia, Ms. Amie Fabureh. Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF) and Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) have signed, Thursday 22nd, a Letter of Agreement (LoA) to jointly design a South-South Cooperation (SSC) training through IBRAF’s Online Professional Learning (OPL) platform that will support 400 African trainees to gain expertise and skills on Fall Armyworm sustainable control.

22 June 2021 – The second partners’ consultation meeting of a Triangular Cooperation initiative involving the Belgian University of Liège, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) took place virtually on 21 and 22 June 2021.  The first day began with a keynote address by speakers from the three organizations, as well as interventions from representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China (MARA), the Belgian Development Agency, Enabel, and the Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI).
