The 8th Annual Meeting of the Global Forum for Rural Advisory Services (GFRAS) will address the following topic:  

'Rural advisory services and empowered youth for balanced transformation in rural and urban communities'.

The event will take place in Ingham and Townsville, Australia, from 10- 13 September 2017 and is expected to gather some 150 participants from all regions of the world. There will be an opportunity to hold side events on 8-9 September 2017.

The 2017 GFRAS Annual Meeting may be of interest to members of the Food for the Cities global network, particularly given its theme this year around balanced transformation in rural and urban communities. Please consider contributing to virtual discussions, sharing relevant materials or participating in the meeting to bring diverse perspectives to the table.

This meeting is being held in conjunction with the Australasia-Pacific Extension Network (APEN) International Conference on "Facilitating Balanced Change for Rural and Urban Communities", to take place from 13-15 September in Townsville, Australia.
