The Argentine Government, through the Secretaría de Agricultura and with the authorization of the Cancellation, established in the Library of the Faculty of Agronomía of the UBA, in the year 1976, the responsibility of being the National Coordinator Center of the International System of Information in Science and Technology Agriculture (AGRIS) developed by the Organization of the United Nations for Agriculture and Food (FAO) and the Information System for Agricultural Investigations in progress (CARIS), as in the national order the Information System for Agricultural Sciences (SNICA) created by the Secretariat de Agriculture for Resolution nro. 439 of 1977. It was an information system which, with the cooperation of national, provincial, private, international, etc. organisations, would compile agricultural documentation, incorporating economic and scientific technological data.
