Research Institute of Forests and Rangelands (RIFR) as the trustee of Natural Resource Research in Iran, has been carried out research activities in 11 research departments and over (beyond) 50 groups and specialized fields in Forest, Rangeland, Botany, Desert, Poplar, Medicinal Plants, Wood and Paper Science, Protection and Conservation, Genetics and Plant Physiology, Gene Bank and Natural Resource Mechanization, 29th provincial research center and 88 national and regional stations
