The University was founded on May 1, 1981; it obtained its legal status on August 18 of the same year, according to Executive Agreement No. 15-2156, in the Branch of Education. It was established in the city of Santa Tecla, in the Department of La Libertad. Under the vision of expressing academic and scientific excellence, with a high commitment to the integral formation of its students, with 41 years of operation, 1984 students have graduated. The university has specialized laboratories for: Chemistry, Entomology; Mechanics, Welding, Electrical, Electronics, Soil Mechanics and Microbiology in which multidisciplinary laboratories of Biology, all Chemistry, Physics, Physiology and other related subjects are carried out; as well as the practices of the subjects of the area of Power and the area of Electronics.
