The Universidad Virtual de Salud is a virtual academic institution, which counts on the active and creative participation of the academic, teaching-care and research institutions of the Cuban National Health System, to develop systems of Networked Education programmes, with the use of Information and Communication Technologies, which enable postgraduate education on a massive scale; as well as inter-consultations and clinical discussions for teaching purposes and the use of active and participative learning methods and a tutorial support organization.
