University of Colima (UCol)

The Universidad de Colima is a Mexican public university with several campuses across the state of Colima, bordering the Pacific Ocean. The University of Colima, as a public institution of higher education, was founded on September 16, 1940, under the name of the Popular University of Colima. By decree of the State Congress, autonomy was achieved in 1962, and in 1980 its Organic Law was reformed, a document that governs the actions of the university community to this day.
