University of Extremadura (UEx)

The Universidad de Extremadura (UEX) is a public university and was created in 1973. Its history is closely linked to the Extremadura community. Initially, it comprised the Faculty of Sciences in Badajoz, the University College of Cáceres, the University Teacher Training Schools for Primary Education in Cáceres and Badajoz, and the School of Agricultural Engineering in Badajoz. Since then, the UEx has increased its student body, degree programs , and centers , now encompassing four campuses: the Badajoz campus , the Cáceres campus , the University Center of Mérida , and the University Center of Plasencia.
