The cultural identity of the University Hospital Center of Porto began in September 2007, when the Hospital Geral de Santo António merged with the Specialized Hospital of Maria Pia Children and the Maternity of Júlio Dinis, with its continuity in March 2011 with the integration of the Joaquim Urbano Hospital and in May 2013 by associating the Medical Center Doctor Jacinto Magalhães.
