The Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) was established in 1921. Before 1993, it was known as the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering named after Valerian V. Kuibyshev. In 2010, the university was granted the status of a “National Research University.” It is one of the oldest technical institutes of higher education in the Russian Federation and a leading Russian university in the field of civil engineering.
