The concept of the Nepal Fisheries Society (NEFIS) was created with the idea that all stakeholders involved in the development, research, education, and industry of the fisheries industry should come together as a community association to contribute to the economy of the nation by properly utilizing the immense resources available in the fisheries sector, along with the restoration of the historical democratic system of the state of Nepal.
