The University of Cundinamarca (Universidad de Cundinamarca) is a State Institution of Higher Education at the Territorial Level, which originated as a departmental educational project in Ordinance number 045 of December 19, 1969, through which the Cundinamarca University Technical Institute (ITUC) was created, and was recognized as a University by Resolution No. 19530, of December 30, 1992 of the Ministry of National Education, and in accordance with the Political Constitution, Law 30 of 1992 and the Regulatory Rights, it is an autonomous and independent entity, with legal personality, academic, administrative, financial, budgetary and government autonomy, with its own income and assets, and linked to the Ministry of National Education, being part of the State University System, as an institution of Higher Education.
