Yüzüncü Yıl University was established with the Decree Law Numbered 41 in 20 July 1982.

The primary goal of the faculty of agriculture is to provide an adequate and quality education for the region, taking into account the educational needs of the region. For this purpose, meeting the expectations of our faculty by conducting scientific studies and research that will meet the information and technology needs of our region and raising graduates who will realize these expectations are among the subjects that all our departments consider as their duty. In addition, it is among our primary goals to direct both the farmers of the region and the agriculture-based industry, to produce joint projects and to implement them, without ignoring the fact that the economy of the region is based on agriculture.
