National Directorate of Aquatic Resources (DINARA)

The National Directorate of Aquatic Resources (Dirección Nacional de Recursos Acuáticos, DINARA) is a government agency in Uruguay responsible for the management, regulation, and conservation of the country’s aquatic resources. The Dirección Nacional de Recursos Acuáticos (DINARA) oversees fisheries management, marine and freshwater resource monitoring, aquaculture development, and the enforcement of sustainable fishing practices. It also conducts scientific research and monitoring programs to support policy-making, environmental protection, and sustainable use of aquatic ecosystems in Uruguay.
