Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR)
The institute is a research center that belongs to the National Polytechnic Institute. CICIMAR is the leading IPN research centre in postgraduate education in marine and fisheries sciences, whose research addresses the most relevant topics for the best use of the resources of the seas and coasts of Mexico, with social responsibility and sustainability, and whose results contribute to the intellectual and humanistic advancement of the polytechnic community, the nation and the world.
