The Technological University of Bolívar (UTB) is a higher education institution in Colombia, subject to inspection and surveillance through Law 1740 of 2014 and Law 30 of 1992 of the Ministry of Education of Colombia. High Quality Accreditation since 2011 by the CNA, being the first university with institutional accreditation in Cartagena de Indias. It was recently recognized as the third best undergraduate university in the country by MIDE. Since its founding in 1970, UTB has emerged as one of the most prestigious and modern educational centers in northern Colombia. Since May 2018, its rector is Alberto Roa Varelo.
