The Federal Institute of Waterways Engineering and Research ( BAW ) is a central technical and scientific federal authority supporting the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport (BMDV). It is the central service provider for advising and supporting the ministry and the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV) in the context of their waterway engineering tasks.
