The Environmental Education Association of Southern Africa (EEASA) is a voluntary, membership-based, multidisciplinary association founded in September 1982 at Treverton, South Africa, through collaboration between educational and environmental professionals EEASA. Its core mission is to promote quality environmental education that inspires meaningful changes in attitudes and behaviors toward the environment. EEASA adopts a holistic understanding of "environment"—encompassing socio‐ecological, socio‐political, and socio‐economic dimensions—echoing the principles of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD).
