The Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas (UAT) is a public higher education institution located in Ciudad Victoria, the capital of the state of Tamaulipas, Mexico. Established on October 30, 1950, it began as Educación Profesional de Tampico, offering faculties in Law and Medicine. In 1972, it was officially recognized as an autonomous university under its current name.
