All on board! “Travel Around the World with Digital FAO and Agro-Informatics” First Stop: University of Nairobi

18/04/2025

Join us at the new virtual workshop series: “Travel Around the World with Digital FAO and Agro-Informatics.” Designed as a global tour, each stop will highlight how students and universities are engaging with FAO’s cutting-edge tools to explore the use of data and technology in agriculture-related research.

The very first stop on this global journey is the University of Nairobi, taking place on 29 April 2025 at 10:00 CEST.

Participants will enjoy a live introduction to FAO’s Agro-Informatics Platform and Digital Services Portfolio (DSP), followed by student presentations from the University of Nairobi showcasing how these digital tools and capabilities are being concretely applied in their academic work. The session will wrap up with an interactive dialogue between students, professors, and FAO experts.

This initiative is part of FAO’s ongoing commitment to empower young researchers, foster collaboration with universities, and encourage bold ideas that support sustainable development and agrifood systems transformation.
