New Geospatial Datasets to Support Agricultural Investment in Cameroon
FAO has just released new geospatial datasets to support rural development and agricultural transformation in Cameroon.
The data identifies departments with high investment potential for various rice production systems, as well as existing rice-related projects and large-scale producers. It supports the National Rice Initiative, which promotes investments in irrigation, inputs, mechanization, processing, and market access.
These datasets are designed to guide evidence-based investment planning, helping stakeholders pinpoint optimal locations for agrifood infrastructure and maximize investment impact.
