15/05/2025

As the digital transformation journey continues across FAO, 2024 marked another year of progress. Through expanded digital tools and capabilities, stronger data systems, and an increasingly agile and collaborative workplace, the Organization has continued to harness digital technologies to improve how it works and delivers results worldwide.

This year’s ‘Digital FAO and Agro-informatics - Transformation at scale’ publication captures key developments across two core areas. From advancing the Agro-informatics stream and its Platform that support data-driven agricultural decisions, to strengthening knowledge-sharing and collaboration, digital advancement played a central role across FAO’s work in 2024.

This publication presents concrete examples of how digital solutions have supported FAO's work globally, improving access to timely information in the field and empowering people with modern tools and capabilities. It also outlines the steps taken to foster a digital mindset and build capacity at all levels, recognizing that digital transformation is not only about technology, but also about people and culture.

The “Digital FAO and Agro-informatics - Transformation at scale” report is now available in both interactive flipbook version and downloadable PDF format on FAO website here.
