The 77th Session of the Committee on Commodity Problems (CCP 77) will take place from 13 to 15 July 2026 at FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy, in a hybrid mode. The Session will review recent trends in global agricultural commodity and fertilizer markets, assess market outlooks including medium-term projections, and discuss the theme of FAO’s flagship report The State of Agricultural Commodity Markets (SOCO) 2026 on “Trade, Resilience and Food Security.” The Session will also provide an update on agricultural negotiations under the World Trade Organization (WTO) and FAO’s support to Members in trade, and further discuss the importance of FAO’s international standards-setting work in supporting well-functioning global agrifood markets and trade. The Committee will review and provide guidance on FAO’s work programme in commodity markets and trade under the FAO Strategic Framework 2022–31, address follow-up issues from the previous session, including the proposal to establish an International Coffee Day, the commodity coverage of FAO’s market intelligence work, and the working arrangements of the CCP, and review and approve its Multi-year Programme of Work (MYPOW).
