Preparatory Meeting - CECAF Small Pelagic North Working Group 2021Due to the current situation related to COVID-19, the meeting of the CECAF Working Group on the Assessment of Small Pelagics-Northern Subgroup could not take place in June 2020 as planned. This situation disrupted the exchange of data and the updating of the time series and other types of information by species subgroups, for the year 2019. Under normal circumstances, the assessment results of the annual meetings of this Working Group provide scientific information on the status of shared stocks intended for managers and scientific communities. Thus, it was decided to hold two meetings of this Working Group in 2021: the first to prepare the data until 2019 and 2020 (in February), and the second to perform the stock assessments and produce the Working Group report. |
