China is now in its 15th Five-Year Development Period (2026-2030).

FAO’s work in China is aligned with national development priorities, the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework for China (2026–2030), and the FAO Strategic Framework 2022–2031. Working closely with the Government of China and other partners, FAO supports the sustainable transformation of agrifood systems through policy advice, technical assistance, capacity development, knowledge exchange and partnerships. This cooperation contributes to strengthening food security, advancing agricultural and rural modernization and rural revitalization, and accelerating progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
