The Fourth Session of the COAG Sub-Committee on Livestock will take place from 3 to 5 June 2026 at FAO headquarters in Rome. 

During this Fourth Session, delegates will address the draft Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Livestock Transformation and the following agenda items related to the three main thematic areas of the Sub-Committee’s Multi-Year Programme of Work (2024-2027) (EN FR ES ZH AR RU): 

Sustainable livestock systems for food security, nutrition and inclusive economic growth 

• Harnessing value addition in the livestock sector for inclusive economic growth and employment generation 

Animal, public and environmental health through the One Health approach 

• Global Partnership Programme for Transboundary Animal Diseases 
• Antimicrobial resistance: The economic cost of action or inaction 

Natural resource use, climate change and biodiversity 

• Innovative solutions for nitrogen use efficiency and sustainable nitrogen management 
• Sustainable management of rangelands and pasturelands 

Other Matters 

• Review of the Multi-Year Programme of Work 2026–29
