New slaughterhouse in South Sudan to improve animal and human health

People in southeastern South Sudan will now have greater access to safe and sanitary meat, thanks to the opening of a new slaughterhouse in the town of Torit. The slaughterhouse was constructed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations with funding from the governments of Italy and Denmark. FAO’s Mabior Mach has the details.
