Somalia: USD 144 million needed to help 6 million people (in FRENCH)

Following the recent disastrous drought that hit Somalia, FAO issued a special alert for the country. As of May, the 2019 Humanitarian Response Plan for Somalia was only 19% funded. FAO needs $ 144 million to help 6 million people from June to December 2019. The total number of people in crisis and emergency (therefore in phases 3 and 4 of the IPC Integrated Food Security classification) is expected to reach about 2.2 million by September 2019, to which should be added the 3.2 million people facing stress, classified in Phase 2 of IPC.
