New analysis released today shows improvements in food security and child nutrition across the Gaza Strip. However, the United Nations cautioned that the progress, driven largely by expanded access to humanitarian food, nutrition, agricultural and health assistance, remains fragile.

Cairo/Jerusalem – The Palestinian Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) has acquired nearly 50 000 FMD SAT 1 vaccine doses as part of a campaign against foot-and-mouth disease in sheep, goats and cattle in the West Bank, with technical and procurement support from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and funding from the Pandemic Fund.
