غرب ووسط أفريقيا
يواصل غرب ووسط أفريقيا في مواجهة انعدام الأمن وعدم الاستقرار السياسي الذي طال أمده، وذلك في ظل وجود نزاعات في وسط الساحل وحوض بحيرة تشاد (بوركينا فاسو والكاميرون وتشاد ومالي والنيجر ونيجيريا)، واستمرار العنف المسلّح في بلدان وسط أفريقيا، مثل جمهورية أفريقيا الوسطى. وتتفاقم آثار هذه التحديات بسبب الظواهر المناخية القصوى وتفشي الأمراض والأزمات الاقتصادية، بما في ذلك الآثار الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لجائحة كوفيد-19. وقد ازداد مستوى الفقر المدقع في المنطقة وأدت الآثار المشتركة لهذه العوامل إلى تدهور انعدام الأمن الغذائي وسوء التغذية، لا سيما في المناطق المتضررة من النزاع. ويشمل ذلك جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية التي لا تزال تشهد أكبر أزمة غذائية في العالم.
